One heck of a ride and the photos are just beautiful, places I have not personaly seen in some time. Must make the trip my-self this summer.
When you take the Aurora ferry across 306 to Bay View, there is a sign that says road ends 4.8 miles. This is Hickory Point road and worth a look see. It is bordered on the north by the Pamlico and South Creek to the south. At the end you can see the inland costal water way to the coast. Most of it is weekend folks but the trip is worth the ride i think.
